NEDA Walk Nashville was a HUGE success!! Today was a great day to walk for Eating Disorders Awareness in Nashville on behalf of the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) and the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). The weather was perfect and we had a lot of great vendors who came out to support the event.
I had the privilege of introducing performer Rachel Hale, a very talented singer/songwriter from American Idol season 12 fame who is currently recording an EP in Nashville and promoting her Fingerprints ministry around the nation. Rachel rocked it out for us and kicked the morning off with her high energy and strong vocals. I got to speak with her afterwards and she is such a sweet girl with a huge heart for our youth.
Many friends and family supported my fundraising goal to raise $1,000 personally and I am thrilled to report you all donated over $1,300 to my team, named Finding The Gift!! Check out the final team standings here www.nedawalk.org/nashville2015.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations to support such a worthy cause. This week I celebrated my 23rd anniversary of freedom from my life-threatening struggle with anorexia and bulimia. Had there been organizations like NEDA and EDCT when I was a teenager, I may have found help sooner. Your donations allow them to continue their great work and again, I thank you! YOU are making the difference!
